AI infrastructure took nearly every large cheque this week. Nscale’s £2.54 billion Third Point-led convertible note for data-centre buildouts was the largest announcement, followed by Instinct’s $1 billion Series C at a $10 billion valuation and a $668 million package for GPU cloud provider GMI Cloud. Below the megadeals, the same pattern repeated at smaller scale: GPU clouds, world models, and physical AI drew the premiums, while energy tech, space systems, and fintech drew steady mid-market cheques from Frankfurt to Bengaluru.
