What is your entrepreneur’s story? How did you come about building your business?

My Entrepreneurial journey started at the age of 18 when I started my first company Total Control Entertainment, LLC with $1,000 and a vision. I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur in my 10th-grade year of high school I just could not see myself punching a clock for 40 years. Everything really hit stride in 2012 when I co-founded the nutritional supplements brand Elite Alchemy. Then in my mid-twenties I really started to find my way as an entrepreneur. By 2015 we had a hand full of pro athletes that we sponsored and we also co-sponsored an Internationally televised Mix Martial Arts Fight Night that was aired to 90 million viewers on Mark Cuban’s AXS TV Network.

What is your business model — how were you able to grow so fast?

The business model that I like to employ is going big. Even if you are a small business operator attaching your brand to the biggest movements that you have access to can pay dividends. In my case, it was aligning Elite Alchemy with Legacy Fighting Championships which had a TV deal with AXS TV. This level of experience coupled with this mentality set the stage for the next few businesses that I would go on to co-found.

Can you give me an overview of who you are, what is your educational or overall background? What are some of your achievements?

I have a very interesting and non-traditional background. My father was a Louisiana Creole and my mother is African American from Rochester, New York. I spent a few summers in Louisiana with my father and I noticed how different my father’s family was from my mother’s. My father’s family is a long line of very well respected entrepreneurs, my mother’s family, on the other hand, is mainly comprised of career-focused individuals. For instance one of my great grandfathers on my Father’s side came to the United States around the time of the Louisiana purchase from Haiti and he started buying up parcels of land a portion of which I inherited in 2016 when my Father passed away. Also one of my Great Uncles on my father’s side was an advisor to the King Of France in the 1800s. In my 10th grade year of high school it was clear to me what my gameplan for my life would be, After my sophomore year I moved to Gainesville, Florida with a good friend of my mother’s and I scouted vocational schools to attend. I ended up picking a school in Albany, Georgia, and once again I was on the road. I finished up my high school education there and also became a Certified Electrician. Since then I have also put myself through CSB School Of Broadcasting back in 2008. Some of my biggest achievements as an entrepreneur are Blue Dream Industries, LLC which is the crown jewel of my business empire receiving a recent valuation of $2.6 Billion Dollars, winning an award for being the #1 holding company in Atlanta for the year of 2018 and Blue Dream Industries, LLC completing it’s first acquisition when we purchased Green Thumb Dynasty, LLC in May of 2019.

What makes your business so unique and successful?

What makes Blue Dream Industries so so unique and successful is the fact that we are a 100% minority-owned Cannabis Company with numerous subsidiaries and multiple satellite offices around the globe. An Intellectual Property catalog comprised of 30 brands is the company’s biggest asset. Our original start as a company was built around launching ancillary products with proprietary technology that we registered patents on. In our second full year of business, we added on a consulting division that currently generates the lion share of our revenue.

What skills and attributes make you as successful as you are?

The skills and attributes that make me successful as I am are a relentless drive to succeed and a skill set that I picked up in Broadcasting School that the camera is always rolling so act accordingly.

Why is online business, marketing, etc important?

We are living in a time where everything is either already digital or is going digital so establishing an online presence for your business is supercritical so you can tap into the billions of consumers that are online daily. Another key aspect of the business is establishing a solid concise marketing budget. If the masses don’t know about your products or services how will you sell them?
